I took time off from work for a mammogram& ultrasound, spent 20 mins in the parking lot waiting for a spot & was informed when I checked in that my appointments were canceled. No call, no email, no text message. IT’S TOTAL B.S.!!! Don’t go there. They suck

I arrived approximately 10 minutes late to my scheduled dermatology appointment due to unexpected traffic caused by an accident. Despite the waiting room being completely empty, I was informed that the provider refused to see me because the appointment was “slotted for 20 minutes” and there was not enough time remaining. What made this experience even more disappointing is that I was later sent a formal “No Show” notice. I did, in fact, show up and checked in. Being marked as a no-show after physically arriving to the office is inaccurate and unfair. This rigid enforcement of time policies feels especially one-sided, as patients are routinely asked to wait well beyond their scheduled appointment times when providers are running behind. No effort was made to accommodate, assess, or even briefly address my concern. Prior to the visit, I had messaged the office to confirm that the provider would be able to evaluate and treat my condition, as I wanted to avoid wasting time and money. I recently called in to get clarification on a medical question, and my experience with the Pediatric triage nurse, Donna, was extremely disappointing. From the beginning of the call, her tone was aggressive and unnecessarily hostile. I was genuinely confused about why the conversation escalated so quickly, so I calmly asked several times if I had done something wrong or if we could rewind and start over for clarity. Instead of de-escalating, her attitude remained dismissive and confrontational. As a patient seeking help, I should never feel talked down to or attacked—especially by a triage nurse, who is supposed to provide support and guidance. The interaction left me feeling uncomfortable and unheard, and it is absolutely not the level of professionalism anyone should encounter when reaching out for medical assistance. I hope management addresses this, as no patient should ever be treated this way. Clear, respectful communication goes a long way, and unfortunately, that was missing here. I will be submitting a formal complaint with Patient Relations as well.

I went to the West Medical Group this morning because I needed urgent care. I had an outbreak of an infection for which I needed a script. I have been to urgent care more times this year than I care to count. At this place, I was treated with kindness and understanding, from the folks behind the desk who took my insurance to the nurse who took my vitals, and to Christina, the PA who was so kind and understanding and wrote me my script. The place is beautiful, clean as a whistle, but most of all, kind. And kindness, my peeps, it is everything, especially in medicine— and amid a healthcare system that is arguably broken. Bravo!

This review is about an appointment I had at WestMed (now Summit Health) over 1 years ago. I used to go to their urgent care for small emergencies and never had issues, so when I realized they also had primary care, I booked a PCP appointment. I scheduled in December, but the first available wasn’t until April. I waited because they already had all my info, and it was easier than starting somewhere else. By February, I no longer worked for the company that provided my health insurance and I knew my plan (1199) only stayed active for a month after employment ended and will not cover this visit. I explained this to the front desk and told them I’d be paying out of pocket. They quoted me a little over $150, I agreed, signed, and specifically asked them to remove my old insurance from their system to avoid billing issues. During the visit, the doctor only gave me referrals — no labs, no testing. She even told me to wait until I had insurance before doing bloodwork so I wouldn’t get billed. We agreed I’d return once I had coverage. A month later, I got a bill for $850 on top of what I already paid. WestMed had billed my old insurance (that I told them not to use), it was denied, and t
